Finally, the hypotenuse

Abstract

This article was written to present some of the activities that comprised the classroom proposal for the student teaching residency, carried out as part of the Educational Practice IV course in the Mathematics Teacher Training Program during the 2025 academic year. The proposal focused on solving right triangles using the Pythagorean Theorem and the trigonometric ratios sine, cosine, and tangent of an angle.
To this end, a review of texts on the relevant content, didactic research on its teaching, and curricular sources related to the proposal was conducted.
Finally, a selection of the activities carried out in the classroom proposal is presented, along with an analysis of their implementation, including student records.
