This article analyzes the trajectory of the Bachelor's Degree in Educational Sciences in its distance education modality, offered by the Faculty of Humanities at the National University of La Pampa, from its institutional origins in the 1980s to its consolidation in the 2010 curriculum and in its 2017 revalidation. The historical reconstruction is framed within the context of democratizing the access to higher education and includes a study of the institutionalization processes, curriculum design, and the pedagogical-didactic foundations that underpin the program. From a qualitative perspective, the study examines regulatory documents and testimonies from institutional stakeholders to understand the transformations of the educational model and its connection to university inclusion policies. Furthermore, the analysis addresses the technological evolution from printed materials to the incorporation of virtual learning environments and considers its effects on teaching practices and student experience. Finally, the article outlines the main challenges and perspectives of the modality during the period 2010–2021, in the context of the educational transformations resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
